Welcome in sociable area of „ Old Firing Range“
- It is placed near by Teplice spa
Sociable area with rich history, reaching to the end of 18.century. Original owner, family of Tambours, was drawing their own wines and in the year 1817 they built firing range for amusement – gun shooting on target with chance to win prizes. In the year 1824 shooting club was formed here and in the year 1860 there was reconstruction of current buildings and newly built dancing halls, skittle alley and tennis courts.
In the year 1881 kaiser Franz Josef I. visited the „Old Firing range“
After the year 1895 was summer restaurant and building with guest rooms finished, these days called Pension of Franz Josef.
An outstanding Czech director Jiří Brdečka (Limonádový Joe) spent his childhood here. Even after his leaving he liked to come back here to draw more energy and inspiration for his production.
Mister Ladislav Vlodek was living here and creating his work , after his return from Amerika. Mister Ladislav Vlodek – academic painter, sculptor and graphic artist.
